Abstract

This article examines the importance of territorial economic intelligence (TEI) in the development of regions and territories through a review of the narrative literature. EIT is seen as a strategic lever enabling local players, whether public or private, to better understand economic dynamics, anticipate opportunities and react proactively to global threats and challenges. By facilitating the collection, analysis and exploitation of strategic information, EIT promotes territorial competitiveness, strengthens innovation and optimizes the use of local resources. The article analyzes EIT tools, methods and best practices, as well as their impact on territorial economic performance. Finally, it identifies the challenges faced by territories in fully integrating these practices into their development strategies, and suggests avenues for improvement.
