Abstract

The article examines how innovative technologies such as Blockchain and IoT are metamorphosing smart ports while improving maritime logistics. These advances are enhancing the efficiency, clarity and security of global supply chains, while addressing the challenges of international trade. Following a qualitative approach, the survey is based on innovative companies, in line with Eisenhardt's (1989) technique, in order to examine tangible impacts. We have selected seven innovative entities from the maritime sector, whose best practices and opportunities for technological integration are examined. It provides essential advice on how to maximize the benefits of these solutions, while identifying potential obstacles to their implementation. The findings underline the importance of enhanced cooperation and strategic leadership to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by Blockchain and IoT in the maritime domain.
