Integrating AI into packaging services: A textual verification study of the packaging sector in Morocco

Today, digitalization is profoundly transforming industries around the world, including the packaging industry. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the packaging process makes it possible to effectively meet the evolving demands of consumers for “packaging” products and environmental regulations to develop more sustainable packaging. However, this digital revolution also poses challenges, particularly in terms of investment, employee training, data security, and so on. While the literature clearly recognizes the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in logistics, it remains limited regarding its application to packaging activities in emerging economies, particularly in contexts such as Morocco, where actual operational dynamics and the conditions for technology adoption by stakeholders remain insufficiently documented empirically.
In this paper, we aim to answer the following question: “What is the significance of AI in the dynamics of packaging services?” To better address this issue, we will conduct a qualitative analysis of data from a survey of a group of companies operating in the packaging logistics sector in Casablanca. Our research is based on an interpretive qualitative approach, supported by IRA-assisted text analysis techniques.
